Art Deco Landmark Building: Apartment at 25 Central Park West

Views of Central Park were ‘liberated’ from an outdated apartment configuration: the Architect designed loft-like spaces to maximize spectacular views and allow daylight to penetrate deep into the apartment. It is now a contemporary family home with subtle Art Deco detailing of crown moldings, millwork and interior stone. Living and dining rooms now overlook Central Park and Columbus Circle and there are three bedrooms, a casual family room and a gracious eat-in kitchen that doubles as a staging area for larger catered parties.

The architect provided many amenities including central cooling for summer, central humidification for winter, insulated windows and custom lighting including fiber optics for the illumination of art and the reduction of glare and reflections in the windows at night.
